Margaret Adrian-Vallance

DSC03526.jpgMargaret is Director of Humanitarian & Education Projects at the Royal Over-Seas League, a membership organisation which develops arts and education projects in the Commonwealth. Before joining ROSL in 1993, she was Assistant Secretary General (PR) for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Association and Founder Editor of 'Award World'. Previously the Award's Press & Publicity Officer, she has a MA and Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Trinity College, Dublin. In 2011 she was made an MBE for services to the education of disadvantaged children in Namibia. 

Janet Longmore

IMG_1579_crop.jpgJanet Longmore is the founder and CEO of Digital Opportunity Trust. An honours graduate of Queen's University School of Business, she has dedicated her career to the creation of innovative approaches to help people in marginalized communities acquire the skills necessary to enter the modern workforce and become self-reliant.  A passionate believer in the power and potential of youth and technology, Janet works tirelessly to promote respect for youth as an untapped source of creativity, energies and talent. An accomplished social entrepreneur and mentor, she is a role model for the many women leaders in the DOT network. Among her many awards, she was recently recognized as a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year 2013.

Simon Wakely

P5190103.JPGSimon Wakely was educated at Haileybury College, Hertford, and Queens' College, Cambridge. Simon worked in the diamond trade from 1969 to 1990 before joining The Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Foundation as Director of the World Fellowship, responsible for recruiting major donors.  In 1999 he was involved in setting up a new charity, Friends of Africa, to help young Africans develop sustainable livelihoods.  From 2007 he was also providing fundraising and administrative services for Pestalozzi Overseas Children's Trust and remains an Advisory Director.  He retired in January 2013.
