Janet Longmore is the founder, president, and CEO of Digital Opportunity Trust (DOT), a youth-led movement of daring social innovators who are transforming communities and creating opportunities around the world.
A champion for technology-driven, community-owned, and youth-led solutions in rapidly developing regions of the world, Janet was a member of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Global Agenda Council on Emerging Multinationals from 2014-2016 and currently sits on the WEF Internet for All Steering Committee, which aims to drive digital inclusion across the globe.
Janet is a 2016 recipient of Canada’s Meritorious Service Cross, which recognizes her as a strong example of social leadership and innovation bringing considerable honour to Canada.
Janet is a frequent speaker at international conferences. A passionate believer in the power and potential of youth and technology, Janet works tirelessly to promote respect for youth as an untapped source of creativity, energy, and talent.
